So remember when I told you my car got auctioned off and that I wouldn't be getting any money back? I was wrong. I got, like, a K back.
????
So I have about a grand to do one of many things with...
1) Continue the commute to NYC and work the real estate job until I make money or discover that I cannot make ANY money whatsoever.
2) Get internet back into my life ASAP (which I discovered today won't begin until either tomorrow or Tuesday, seeing that every single possible channel to getting a check cashed or ordering DSL is shut tighter than a Republican's heart).
3) Buy a bicycle to make my NJ commuting a tad more speedier.
4) Re-up for City of Heroes and play my troubles away.
5) Buy a bigger set of pants and have a little more confidence when I go forth into my social appointments.
6) Throw myself a big fat party.
7) Repay my debts.
Okay #7 is not possible with my little thousand and #3 and #6 is just a waste of money. I owe everyone, each, more than a thousand. And while I'm still moving extremely slowly to Paramus, my best bet is to find a full time NJ career job based on my NJ license, with benefits and suchlike, within commuting distance to my Benefactor's home, and live rentfree while I use my salary to accomplish #7.
That'd be my best bet. And the one that makes my skin crawl the quickest. I don't want to go back to 40hrs/wk and being on-call (in the mental health field, that seems to be some kind of standard for Master's level positions. As if getting a Master's debt wasn't due enough for the 'privilege').
But.
I will do it if I have to. I think seeing the money accumulate without having to pay rent will make the price worth paying.
Okay, let me get out of here. Again, I'm at work, where there are four people doing the Sunday-Maybe-I'll-Get-Lucky-And-Make-Some-Money-Somehow Dance. All I came here to do today was check my work email and surf the net to see what it'd take to get internet in Paramus.
But now I'm gone. I deserve a day off.
