Cherchez La Femme

Little bit in this mood, lyricwise, but can't help but dig the upbeat tempo and the fun the singer is having with this song.

Match Girl has been off the radar for four days, as Match is kind enough to inform me below her picture. Seriously, how long should I wait before I start writing other women? Fringes, are you still willing to help me draft a womancatching letter?

By the way, I have no idea what "cherchez la femme" means. Except it has something to do with women and Mariah Carey's ex-husband.

It means "look for the woman". As in, what's up with his neurotic, self-defeating attitude? Answer: Cherchez la femme; only a woman could mess a guy up like that.

Fringes, please, help this poor gentleman bait his woman trap.

Buck up, buckaroo.

Match Girl's loss!

I thought your initial letter was quite lovely, but I'm sure fringes can help you come up with something that will make the next lady swoon.

The good news is that if she hasn't bee on Match at all for four days, then there's no reason yet to assume she's no longer interested. The geeks of the world spend far more time in from of computer screens than others, so we tend to have somewhat skewed ideas of a proper response time. I bet she's going to write you soon, and it'll be totally understandable why she hasn't yet, if she even feels obligated to address that aspect of things.

If you need tips on obsessing, let me know. Otherwise, relax, change your mental name of Match Girl to Match Girl I, and start looking for Match Girl II. I am happy to add my semantic skills to your efforts, if they would help in any way.

Gotta stick by the tribe, right?

Find a girl you like, email me her profile (cut and paste) and I will help you woo her. Email me when you have questions like this. I may not always get around to checking daily blogs.

Sounds you have the right manager in your corner of the ring. My advice for the next one would be to squelch the flow of information so early on. I'm not saying don't be yourself, but try to hold back a little until she invites to to give more. Even then, I tend to hold it back just a little. Call it foreplay, but it works.
